Internal Communications Program – Healthcare Industry

Believing that strong mission, vision, and values begin within an organization, I led the development of internal communications initiatives to improve cross-functional collaboration and employee engagement. Many employees lacked visibility into what other departments were working on, and communication channels were fragmented.

Key Contributions:

  • Platform Evaluation: Vetted three internal communication platforms and implemented Workshop for newsletters and SharePoint for the company intranet
  • Newsletter Program: Designed monthly themed newsletters featuring department updates, CEO announcements, staff spotlights, wellness tips, and interactive “get-to-know-you” questions to boost morale and connection
  • Intranet Development: Partnered with internal teams to build a SharePoint intranet as a central hub for HR resources, marketing materials, and organizational documents
  • Content Strategy: Created processes for department leaders to contribute updates and ensured content aligned with organizational values

  • Achieved 80% newsletter readership with consistent staff participation each edition
  • Increased visibility and transparency across departments
  • Improved employee experience by centralizing resources previously unavailable or difficult to find
